Wise Kidz – Solid wood playground equipment

The load-bearing posts are made of 90 × 90 mm square posts of FSC-certified Scandinavian pine wood.
The impregnated pine posts consist of several sections joined together. This construction increases strength and reduces the risk of cracking.

A special impregnation protects the wood against moisture, microorganisms, and insect infestation. Afterwards, a weather-resistant exterior paint is applied in two coats: a primer and a topcoat. The coating protects against external influences and reduces flaking and cracking.
Depending on the location, two fastening options are available:

• Surface mounting with round base plate
• In-ground mounting with embedded metal post anchor

This reduces direct ground contact of the wood and lowers the risk of moisture, mold, and rot damage. A PE cover at the upper end additionally protects the post from weather-related influences.

For the play panels, we use FSC-certified boards made from Scandinavian pine wood. They are characterized by strength, durability and a natural coloration.
Selected wooden play panels feature interactive elements that invite children to play and explore. They stimulate imagination and promote coordination, fine motor skills and cooperative play.

The Scandinavian pine wood is permanently protected by impregnation, professional drying and a two-coat surface treatment.
A primer and a final top coat improve resistance to moisture, temperature fluctuations and other external influences. At the same time, the risk of cracking, peeling, rot and fungal infestation is reduced.
The paints used meet strict requirements regarding VOC emissions and support an environmentally conscious production of the wooden playground equipment.

The platforms are made of a wood-plastic composite material, or WPC for short. The material combines wood fibres with thermoplastic polymers such as polyethylene.
This creates a surface with a natural wood look that is also durable and resistant to moisture, rot and pest infestation. Regular painting is not necessary, which reduces subsequent maintenance effort.
The non-slip, anthracite-coloured platform boards are 18 mm thick and suitable for various weather conditions outdoors.

For slides, roofs, play panels and selected climbing elements, we use linear low-density polyethylene, or LLDPE for short. The material is robust, impact- and puncture-resistant, and resistant to a variety of weather conditions. At the same time, the rotational molding process enables a wide range of design options in terms of colors, shapes, sizes and material thicknesses.
The components can be matched to different design concepts. With the one-time molding process, no unnecessary material waste is produced; the material used is non-toxic and odorless.

Metal connecting elements are carefully processed by our specialist team. Uniform weld seams, precise polishing, and the prevention of burr formation, incomplete penetration, and porosity support stability and long-term product safety.
For assembly, self-drilling wood screws with an integrated drill tip are used. This eliminates the need for separate pre-drilling, and the screws can be installed in a single operation. This reduces time and effort during installation. Screws and fastening elements are made of stainless steel 304.
